The coalition army attacks New Eldoria through the narrow First Choke while King Aldric organizes the city’s defenses. Lilly and the scholars discover that the enemy’s assault is weakening the ancient chains imprisoning the Sleeper. When a massive battering ram breaks the second chain, the Sleeper awakens, just as enemy soldiers breach the sanctuary.

Lilly discovers that the ancient inhabitants abandoned New Eldoria after awakening a powerful creature known as the Sleeper. As enemy forces attack from above, the damaged seal beneath the city begins to crack, trapping the survivors between an invading army and an awakening nightmare.

The survivors officially name their new home New Eldoria and hold a memorial for King Aldwin. With no living royal heir, Lord Aldric becomes king, while the badly injured King Malachar survives and orders his forces to search for the underground entrance.

Lilly escapes her chains, rescues her father and the other prisoners, and leads them to safety underground. As the enemy attacks Eldoria, King Aldwin detonates the explosives beneath the kingdom, destroying the surface realm and much of the invading army.

King Aldwin creates a secret plan to deceive the six invading kingdoms and secures a three-day truce. While the evacuation continues, Lilly sneaks into the enemy camp to rescue her father but is captured and brought before the allied rulers.

King Aldwin explores the hidden kingdom with Lilly while Lord Aldric remains behind to defend Eldoria. Aldwin decides to evacuate the people in stages, but Lilly’s father is captured and Sir Kenneth is killed while escorting him.

Lilly fights in her first battle and is knighted by Lord Aldric. After Eldoria suffers casualties and retreats, she finally tells King Aldwin about the underground kingdom, forcing him to consider abandoning the surface realm.

Lilly secretly returns to the training grounds and struggles to tell King Aldwin about the underground kingdom. When Necrosia unexpectedly attacks the eastern wall with cannon fire, Lilly gathers the courage to speak.

Lilly follows the frog through a magical tunnel and discovers a vast underground kingdom filled with homes, gardens, water, and food stores. She realizes the hidden sanctuary could save the people of Eldoria.

Eldoria thrives under the wise rule of King Aldwin, but the kingdom’s hidden mineral wealth attracts the greed of six neighboring kingdoms. When diplomacy fails, Aldwin reluctantly calls his people to arms.
